Our Alliance of Funds partner to the north, Small Change Fund, has recently launched a new website. Small Change Fund makes small grants to grassroots environmental groups in Canada, following a Greengrants-based model that increases the resources available for local action from coast to coast to coast. Their site is a new approach to philanthropy that harnesses the culture and power of social networking. It’s an online space where people can connect with local leaders and enable investment in the most high-impact grassroots action across Canada. And, what’s more, our own Chet Tchozewski is their first guest blogger, talking about the power of small grants to change the world.
